What do you get when two Michelin trained chefs decide to open a taco cart?

Luciana Giangrandi and Alex Meyer opened La Pollita inside the midtown garden center in December 2015.  Combining their 16 years of restaurant experience, most at Michelin starred restaurants in NYC, they have been able to bring together their passion for local, high quality ingredients, proper technique, and hospitality and deliver it in a small, intimate package.

 

Through extensive travel in Mexico, through Puebla, Oaxaca, the Yucatan, and the streets of Mexico City, Alex and Luci have developed a menu of offerings that goes beyond what most are accustomed to when thinking of Mexican cuisine.
